Birthday Cake Cool Whip Fruit Dip

Birthday Cake Fruit Dip with an apple

This 5 ingredient Birthday Cake Fruit Dip is a hit for all ages for a snack or a dessert! The cool whip fruit dip is a healthy option for the perfect sweet treat. Summertime always makes me think of lots of fruits paired with a sweet dip. This cool whip fruit dip is no different and can be paired with any kind of fruit: apples, strawberries, grapes, bananas, oranges, blueberries, etc. It can also be paired with graham crackers, marshmallows, cookies, or any other sweet treat to make it a dessert dip too.

I made this dip twice in one weekend because I could not keep my family and myself out of the first batch. We took part of the first batch to the pool for a sweet break and paired it with apples. The boys were licking the container by the end of the snack. I made it again for a tennis gathering I had, and it was another hit with all the adults too!

Where did this cool whip fruit dip come from?

I am not sure exactly where this idea came from, but I had seen people mixing sugar free pudding mix with some different items to make some lower calorie treats, dips, yogurts, or desserts. I tried the Kale Kouture Cookie Dough Dip and started to love dessert dips but really wanted a lower sugar, higher protein dip that would be good a good snack for the kids. I of course feel in love with this cool whip fruit dip too, and the kids keep asking me to make it. My dad who loved the Cookie Dough Dip loved this dip even more!

This healthy fruit dip is not too sweet but has enough sweetness to resemble the vanilla cake batter flavor that birthday has. The texture is smooth and blends very easily when it is made. This is one of those dips that you can’t stop eating! At least it is lower sugar and calorie with some protein included in it. You can’t beat this dip!

How to add more protein to this Birthday Cake Cool Whip Fruit Dip:

After I made the a few batches of the Birthday Cake Fruit Dip, I decided to try adding vanilla protein to it to add even more protein in it. I used 2 scoops of Vanilla Bulletproof Protein powder in one batch, and it not only added protein to the fruit dip, but it added more of a vanilla flavor to it.

Sometimes fruit dip can get a bad reputation because of the high sugar, calorie, and fat content, but this healthier dessert dip is lower calorie, sugar, and includes some protein. Instead of worrying about this sweet treat, we can enjoy and enjoy as much as we want of it.

Dip with Different Sprinkle Combination

At first I was thinking that the sprinkles were just for aesthetics, but the texture in this dip is mandatory. I tried some leftover (more boy-ish) sprinkles on one batch this weekend (pictured above), and there was no difference. I am excited to experiment with some other flavors of this easy combination.
